Sometimes walking away is the only option

"Not all relationships are meant to be. None of us have just one person that is the ONLY person that we can be with and have a deep, soulful, happy relationship. Sometimes, it is better to let go and be open for other possibilities."    ~Melody~

Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio

The Full Moon as it appeared from my deck April 25th, 2013.
It lit up the entire back yard!

Buckle up folks, we are in for quite the ride!!! Emotions are all over the place today!!! A Lunar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Scorpio this afternoon!!! Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that are already there, but that have not yet been dealt with. With the eclipse we can expect a double whammy!!

The cosmos are demanding that we let out whatever has been building up inside. In most cases, this will be of an intimate nature. Over the next few weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us personally.

Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened dramatically at this time. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic. Epiphanies are likely at this time as we become acutely aware of what is lacking in our lives.

I will be available for phone & chat sessions throughout the morning and afternoon.

My Beliefs Revealed: For the Record

I believe in this so strongly, that it is on my living room wall

As a general rule, I won’t go near the political  or religious discussions on social media because I truly believe that it builds walls, when I am more of a bridge sort of person. I prefer to look for what we have in common than the differences that divide us.  After all, I use social media as a relationship building tool, sharing information, and staying in touch with friends and family.   My goal is to engage and create dialogue, inspire discussion, and share humor.

All too often I see angry diatribe about politics or religious groups in my news feed and end up changing my notifications so I do not see them.  I do not want to be one of "those people" who is removed from a news feed because of angry, negative filled, emotionally charged status updates.  Therefore most of my status updates are used to share my life, to inspire, to share information, and spread humor!

Having said all that, I decide to state for the record my beliefs to for living my life for those who are interested...

These Things I Believe:

1.)  I am not a religious person but I believe in God of my understanding.
My God is a loving, compassionate and understanding God whom I have a personal relationship outside of a congregation.  I can talk to God while running on asphalt, listening to nature from my deck, or sitting quietly so I can hear Him.

2.)  Everyone has something to bring to the table.
We are each unique with special skills, talents, and experiences.  Listening with an open mind and treating others with respect can lead to great things.

3.)  What you see is what you get.
I strive to put myself out there in the most honest, transparent way possible. I strive to live my life with truth, integrity, and be the best person I can be. I tend to gravitate toward people who share the same philosophy.

4.)  I believe in Equality for everyone.
Regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

5.)  I believe in the Right to Bear arms.
However, I do not believe that everyone is responsible enough to carry a weapon.

6.) Each of us has a responsibility and obligation to 'give back' or pay it forward.
Our country and communities were not built by one, but by many; collectively as a group.  Volunteerism and helping others can only enrich our lives and spiritual growth.

7.)  Seeing others through the eyes of love and compassion.
We do not know what baggage another carries with him.  Each person we encounter has fought or fighting his own battle.  Approaching each person or situation with love and compassion can only benefit our personal growth.

8.)  A person's behavior reveals his/her true nature and character.
It has been my experience that it is not a person's religious beliefs, political views, social status, or up-bringing that is the underlying motivation for his actions.  As an adult we are each responsible for our behavior...period.

9.)  Family means unity, loyalty, love and support.
Family, or being part of a family, is not define by blood, but rather the love that binds  a group of people as a unit.

10.)  Living life in a way that works for me.
Practicing kindness toward others, animals, treating others with respect, having empathy for others, living each day as it was my last, and let my behavior reflect my spiritually.

11.)  A sense of humor will get a person through almost anything.
I love to laugh--at myself, at the little quirky things life throws my way, the silliest things can make me break out in a smile or giggle fit!  Laughing is one of my greatest joys!   I love a good belly laugh!   I love smiling at everyone I meet--even when they don't smile back!

And there you have it folks...some of my beliefs to living my life in a way that works for me!  Thank you for visiting my blog and taking time our of your day to learn more about me!

Death: Transformation and Change

Transformation and Change

"Endings are beginnings; even though we may not realize it at the time."

Not surprising with the planet Pluto in retrograde motion, the Death card appears more frequently in tarot card readings.  When this card appears in a reading, most clients immediately think "death" awaits--fearing a physical death of a loved one!

The image of Death charging across a field on his spectral steed would strike fear into the heart of almost any person. The appearance of the Death card has a similar effect on most people, though it really should not. The appearance of the tarot card Death does not necessarily, or even usually, indicate physical death. In fact, in general, it is considered irresponsible for readers to predict physical death, as we are creatures with free will, and such things are not written in stone. The Death card is not a card of death - it is a card of transformation and change.

This is definitely a time of deep transformation, likely to be both inner and outwardly in your life. Situations, things, and people that you have counted on or gotten used to may no longer be available to you in quite the same way as they once were, and this transition can be difficult for some people.

The more accepting you can be of change of all sorts during this time, and the less you try to "control" the better and the more comfortable this time will be for you. Often what you need to "let go of" is some sort of self-limiting belief or attitude. Sometimes we just can't see how our attitudes are hurting us, and when that is true, this time period can be a wake-up call. The energy of this time is not just change or destruction; it is change or destruction followed by renewal. Even though one door may have closed, another is opening. Will you have the courage to step through?

The best advice when faced with such transformation or change in your life is to cultivate a positive attitude. Know that even if you are in the midst of a "dark night of the soul" that this too shall pass. Don't fight change. Allow yourself to feel what you feel, but don't wallow in pain or sorrow; if you need help pulling yourself away from any pain or loss that you are suffering, reach out. There is always a caring soul who will help you, even if you are quite literally alone in the world; more people care about you than you can even begin to imagine.

Pluto Retrograde: Time for Internal Make-Over

Pluto Retrograde
April 12, 2013 - September 20, 2013
"Releasing what no longer serves your higher good
regenerates your life."

Pluto, the planet that’s no longer a planet, turns retrograde today until September 20, 2013.   Pluto rules transformation and the underworld, representing our habits, motivations, internal triggers and even relationships.  This transit is all about making changes on a large scale!    This is an internal journey--all about you!  If you feel a past behavior is outdated or no longer serves your higher good, it is time to let it go!

Although Pluto is no longer consider a planet, its mythology and astrological importance still remains. Pluto is known as the God of the Underworld according to ancient Roman mythology. In astrology, Pluto rules life's aspect that are deep, dark, mysterious and even deadly.

Along with the themes of Pluto, the flavor of Capricorn will be added to the mix--causing you to "dig in" and discover hidden meanings within situations. Capricorn influence deals with power and structure, so it could be a question of figuring our who’s really in charge in your world. Is it you? Or have you given your power away to others?
Keywords for Pluto are change, regeneration and transformation!   During this period the desire to change is at a heightened peak.   How will this energy effect you?  This is a perfect time for an internal make-over. You will experience the power of personal change. Looking to improve your health?  You may undergo some body transformation; a new workout maybe.  Emotional and psychological breakthroughs are also favored at this time.
This is an excellent time to conduct a little spiritual house cleaning!  Get rid of bad habits, negative attitudes, ideas, fears, grudges, or inner wounds.  Now is the time to forgive, forget, let go, and move forward!
Change and transformation are some times difficult, but it's good to know that regardless how challenging, Pluto has a way of making sure that all changes bring the best possible outcome.

Four of Cups: Count Your Blessings!

The Four of Cups is a card about wishful thinking. Reminds us to pay attention to what
"is" now, and the many blessings we have,
and not to worry too much about "what could be."

Did you know the 4 of cups in Tarot card reading can inform you what opportunity you are not looking at?  I have a passion for the Tarot, and using specific cards to obtain information for others or myself.  In a tarot card reading, the Four of Cups appears in a reading  when you are bored or dissatisfied with the status quo. You may be feeling disengaged, apathetic, or unmotivated. Life has become stale or ‘flat’ and there is little that excites you anymore.

The Four of Cups depicts a young man sitting under a tree far away from others in what looks like deep contemplation and meditation. In fact, he is so engrossed in deep contemplation that he does not appear to notice the cup being presented to him by an outstretched arm. A further three cups stand at his feet, symbolizing the world and its attractions but again, he pays little attention to these.

Sometimes, we get so stuck in the idea that we don’t know what we should do. So what do we do? Often, we do nothing. Rather than find the energy to do something, we just sit and ponder all the things we should be doing. Do we do them, or do we just sit and ponder them? It’s a rather silly endeavor, but it is something each of us does from time to time. This is another way to define procrastination. If you know you need to do something, get up and do it! Thinking about it is not the same as doing it, so quit thinking, and do!

The Four of Cups serves as a reminder not to take life for granted. Be sure that you are "counting your blessings."  Don't spend too much time in self-pity or wishing your life away.

Wishful thinking can take it's toll on the spiritual aspect of life, as when we are caught up in "poor me" thinking or "I wish things were different," it tends to blind us to the beauty of what IS in our lives, right now. Stay constant and grounded in the present moment. If you can't keep a "gratitude journal" and write down things you feel grateful for every day, at least make a list of twenty people/situations/things in your life that you are grateful for now. Thinking along these lines can elevate your "spiritual mindset" immensely, and quickly. A lot of life has to do with where we put our focus. Put your focus on the things and people in your life that you have to be thankful for.

Walk in Humility

Accept that, as a human, we can not do everything by ourselves.

Humility is the attitude of a person who knows than can not do it alone.  A humble person will pray a lot and follow spiritual guidance, instead of leaving things to their own understanding.  Being self-sufficient and having pride in yourself is important, being humble means being realistic about your own fallibility.

Today, walk in humility, embrace divine love, and follow the spiritual advice given to maneuver through life events.  Think about certain situations you are dealing with right now.  What can you learn from them? Have you asked for spiritual assistance in handling your circumstances today? If you will ask, follow the spiritual guidance and walk spiritually in tune with your world, you will be transformed, strengthened, and energized.

Let Go

Clouds Stormy And Bright by Bobbi Jones Jones

When you are in the storms of life and you wish to hold tightly and struggle, worry, manipulate, and fight your way out of the storm it's simply a sign of fear and mistrust.  This entire process makes you weary, tired, and discouraged.  It is only when you can see no other solution do you let go and let God work things out His way.  Have compassion and understanding when this happens to you or with others.  This tendency reveals the need for reassurance that things are happening as God intends.

The remedy for this tendency is to allow God's nurturing soothing love surround you.  After all, when a person tries to have control and power over everything they most often feel out of control.  If you stop, sit quietly, and listen to your inner voice you will hear God's beckoning call for you to just let go so He can work it out.  Then and only then, will you be free of the storm.

Even though you can not see what lies ahead, God already knows what He has planned for your future. He is holding you in the palm of His hand.  You can relax your control, stop struggling, and release it to God.  By letting go, you are showing your trust that things are being worked, that you are cared for, and that your life will be filled with peace, love, and strength.
