Happy New Moon in Virgo!!

Virgo NEW MOON is here! Virgo, the sign of healing and service, provides us with the strength and support to do the internal work necessary for self-healing.  For those who have been going through some deep shifts, internal processing of things from the past, shedding that which has held us captive, we are learning to know and remember who we really are. It is time to be who we are, and tune in to how we can serve. 

This Virgo New Moon opens us to planting the seed of our wholeness--both the perfected parts that the sign Virgo strives for and the wounded parts we are healing. Virgo is the perfect sign for quality control, it does not take short cuts. It is the analyzer, the thinking sign; picking apart & analyzing each kernel of information available, drawing logical conclusions from deluge of information. 

Virgo reflects back to what is toxic, dirty, shameful, hidden away; that which causes malfunction and dysfunction. Make a list of what needs to be reviewed for self-improvement, BUT, be patient with yourself! Forgive yourself where you have fallen short of your own standards--you are a work in progress! 

Some suggestions for using this New Moon in Virgo energy: start a new health regiment, cut out something unhealthy from your diet, sign up for yoga or meditation classes, find ways to be of service to others, clean out closet, desk, car, etc., discard that which no longer serves your life.   Re-balance yourself!

Healing Under a Cancer Moon

Time to emerge in the healing effects of Cancer Moon...

After experiencing a sense of restlessness this past week, I am looking forward to the peace and quiet of today's Cancer Moon. As the Moon rules the sign of Cancer, it feels right at home! Most of us will experience a strong feeling of belonging and safety under this influence.

This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.

Internal Makeover: Digging Deep

Four months ago, back in April, the planet Pluto, ruler of Scorpio and the eight house, went retrograde motion. I wrote about what to expect during this period in my blog, Pluto-Retrograde Time for Internal Makeover, April 12, 2013. As a reminder, Pluto symbolizes renewal, reincarnation, and the deepest parts of our selves. This retrograde forces us to face our inner selves and confront the past or certain issues or habits in order to purge ourselves to make room for an new & improved version of ourselves.

On a personal level, this has been a difficult and challenging period for me as this transit as forced me to dig deep, pull out emotions buried deep within, relive past experiences, conduct a thorough examination, and begin the work necessary to release that which no longer serves my highest good.  As with any transformation or change, its a work in progress, and moving through this process continues to be quite the challenge.   Digging dig within and unearthing that which has been buried is scary, painful, emotional, and anxiety filled at times. However, I know that the only real path to transformation to the life changing makeover that awaits is complete and absolute destruction & rebirth.

Now add to the mix the full moon in Capricorn and a Cancer Sun back in June and we have a recipe for emotions run a muck. Cancer represents emotions, attachments & love, private life, the home, and nurturing whereas Capricorn represents public life, career, reputation, and achievements! Not surprising that we have all felt more emotional, sensitive, & out of whack this summer!

In accordance with the Pluto principle, we can’t really create anything new without first eliminating the old. In fact, it’s that very principle that makes natal Pluto more than just our astrological authorization to life-changing power. Have faith that after this period of transformation we will emerge a happy more balance person able to live a more loving and fuller life.  Feel free to share how this transit is creating change, challenges, growth, and internal makeover in your life.
